Turkey has reached such a point in hair transplant that it is now subject to documentary films. National Geographic’s Explorer Program’s team’s research on hair surgery directed them to Istanbul, Dr. Koray Erdogan. Explorer team came to Turkey in October and the team, made a two-day shoot with Dr. Koray Erdoğan at his clinic in Istanbul. Each part of the Explorer program presented by a different celebrity. 6th episode of the program was presented by famous actor Peter Sagal.
Peter Sagal interviewed Dr. Erdoğan about the techniques of hair transplant and the psychologics of the patients and took all the steps of hair transplantation noperation to the screen. During the shooting, Dr. Erdogan examined Peter Sagal, who had no hair, and there appeared a lot of funny scenes. Dr. Erdoğan, who has graduated from Hacettepe Faculty of Medicine and worked in this field for 16 years, is a name that has been closely recognized and followed by his colleagues in the USA and Europe, especially with his new surgical techniques and instruments he has developed. For many years, it has been shown to be the best person in the World by both the hair transplant specialists and the patients who are considering hair transplant. In addition Dr. Erdoğan, who has participated in numerous conferences and seminars, is one of the indispensable names of both Turkey and international congresses on hair transplant.
