Archive Information and Verification

This is an archived patient-reported record, not a clinical study or a measure of the clinic’s average outcomes. This editorial update does not independently verify the original source, photographs, exact graft count or current clinic workflow.

The operation date and the latest photograph date should be read from the recorded case details below. Where a date or follow-up is not recorded, do not infer it from the article’s publication date or an image filename. Early healing photos do not establish final growth.

Case Summary

  • Clinic: ASMED, Istanbul
  • Doctor: Dr. Koray Erdogan
  • Grafts: 5017
  • Patient age: 27

The archive reports 5,017 grafts for a patient aged 27. Because the patient describes starting finasteride before surgery, subsequent changes in native hair should not automatically be attributed to transplanted grafts. The treatment plan, donor conservation and follow-up timing are more informative than the graft count alone; medication decisions require individual medical advice.

For current clinic information, see our ASMED / Dr. Koray Erdogan clinic profile. For broader comparison, see our best hair transplant clinics in Turkey guide and Turkey reviews guide. Because finasteride is mentioned in this case, our finasteride results guide provides current background on expected timelines and side effects.

After the video, Koray Doctor created a 4000-graft draft.Ms. Seda conveyed that there would be an online interview, and on May 6, we had a meeting with Koray Doctor via zoom.Although we had never chatted before, it was a very friendly and fun conversation. Since my hair in the shedding area was feather hair, Koray Doctor recommended me to start Finasteride.I started finasteride the next day.(Side effects etc. I knew beforehand, I researched everything).Afterwards, we set an operation date with Ms. Seda, although I asked so many questions in this process, thanks to all of them, she helped me tirelessly and did not leave any question marks in my head.

June 12 as interview (haircut, tests, planning),
June 13 First planting
June 14 gap
We planned June 15 as the second planting.
Finasteride caused groin pain like the second week and returned to normal after the third week. I have not encountered any problems for 1.5 months now. I tried to do plenty of sports and eat healthy as much as I could until the day of the operation.

On the first day, June 12, I reached Asmed. The Alp Doctor checked, said there was some dermatitis and determined a donor capacity of 5900, with an eye on the first plan. From here we went to take photos so that the line would be seen again, and in the meantime Ms. Dilek came and we met. She made small corrections to my hairline and then my photos were taken. We went from here to the haircut. I, who shortened my hair only in the military, watched helplessly as it was hit to zero :).When it was hit to zero, I liked it in a different way, I didn’t like my head structure, I thought it was crooked, but it didn’t look bad to my eyes :).When the hair was reset, photos were taken again. Then I entered the Ke-bot, you wait 6 minutes without moving, a very advanced device donor capacity calculates everything. Then I’m done for today.

I was at Asmed at 07:00 in the morning. The attendant friend placed me in a room.He told me to wait for Ms. Andrea.A different attendant showed me the places of the clothes and asked me to change my clothes.I changed my clothes and started to wait.Ms. Andrea came and took me from the room.I thought my hair was zero, but it needed to be cut even more, I had another shave as the first thing. After my hair was cut, we went to the room where I would enter the operation. There was an artist playing cello in the middle of the operation rooms, it was very well thought out. Then I was taken to room number 5. I met the nurses and technicians, the operation started at 08:00. The operation room was very cold, so two blankets were covered on me, it worked, it didn’t get too cold. Donor intake started, there were pains at certain times, the nurse increased the anesthesia and I didn’t feel anything. It took two-two and a half hours, it was a little uncomfortable to sit on the couch, it was quite tiring because of the neck hernia. I spent time with the tablet. Koray Doctor came, checked and left. After the donor intake was over, a break was given. Then it was the turn of the canal opening, the anesthesia officer injected two or three syringes, I don’t remember what happened after that. Normally, Alp Doctor would open the canal. My hair transplantation was completed, Alp Doctor checked, Dilek Hanım checked and said that there was no problem and we finished the day. I had a mild headache in the evening, I drank painkillers for it, it passed. I did not sleep in my own bed at night because I was constantly turning at night.

June 15, the second day of transplantation.08:00 the operation started around 08:00.It took about two and a half to three hours to get the roots. Then Mr. Alp opened the channels. Then the operation team placed the roots. The second transplantation I left a little more tired, when I went to the room, I fell asleep for about an hour. When I opened my eyes, Alp Doctor was in front of me, thanks to him, he checked the transplantation and I returned home.

On June 16, at 09:30 in the morning, I went to Asmed for washing, the washing method was shown, the bandages were removed, the necessary medicines were given shampoos, photographs were taken and the operation was completed.

Age:27
Graft: 5017
Hair/Graft: 1.91

I am only afraid of dermatitis. Koray Doctor said that it will not cause any problems in development, but let’s see. I am in research on how to get rid of it.

I was very satisfied with the service, I also stated this in the survey, there was the name of the forum, I marked it at the very beginning 🙂 Especially Ms. Seda, Ms. Andrea, Alp Doctor, Ms. Dilek operation team are all well-intentioned professional people.
