Serkan Aygin Clinic (Koç University Hospital) 4000 grafts

Hello everyone, on Saturday, November 9, 2023, my hair transplant was performed at Serkan Aygın Clinic (Koç University Hospital). I am sharing the photos below for your valuable comments.

General Information:
1) Age: 37
2) When did hair loss begin: 27
3) Type of hair loss (aggressive or slow – stable): Stable
4) Where did hair loss begin? (vertex, crown, front area, etc.): Front area
5) As support, Xpecia and Hair Forte spray were started 2.5 months before the transplant and used for 2 months.

Information about the Transplant Center:
1) Serkan Aygın Clinic (Doku Medical Center) / Transplant at Koç University Hospital

A consultation is held with the Transplant Center one day before the operation, information is provided about the medications to be used, and payment is collected (you can pay by card).

Before the Transplant:

At 7:45 AM at Koç University Hospital, procedures begin on the -1 floor in the hair transplant department. Afterwards, you are given a sedative pill and change your clothes (don’t worry about your valuables; there are lockers available, and you keep the key). You are only given a patient gown to wear, then your hair is shaved, and you are taken to the operating room.
Before the operation, the team leader comes to determine your hairline, listens to your ideas, and the operation begins.

Numerical data related to the transplant:
1) Number of grafts: Single grafts: 347, double grafts: 1442, triple grafts: 1212, quadruple grafts: 338, and beard grafts: 661, for a total of 4000 grafts.
2) Operation duration: Total 8 hours, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
3) Open area 110 cm2 (total open area 180 cm2)

Post-transplant:
You are discharged with bandages. After the operation, the relevant staff member feeds you and then sends you to your hotel.

Post-transplant Day 1
You go to the clinic to have your bandages removed and dressings changed, after which you receive laser therapy.

Medications/Supplements Provided by the Clinic
1) Antibiotics: 2 tablets every 12 hours
2) Painkillers: 5 tablets are provided to be used when pain occurs.
3) Anti-inflammatory: Used for 4 days in a 3,3,3,2 pattern
4) Pharmazon lotion is applied 2-3 times a day starting from the 2nd day. (to keep the transplant area moist)
5) Hair MD Repair lotion and shampoo

My thoughts on the clinic

The clinic is a professional organization with clean facilities and friendly staff.
I will be able to provide detailed comments about the transplant staff after 6 months.
